Belt conveyors
The main advantages of belt conveyors are high reliability, simplicity of construction, durability, the ability to move bulk and piece goods in horizontal, inclined and combined (horizontal-inclined) directions, the possibility of automation and ease of maintenance.
The use of belt conveyors is limited to only relatively small permissible slopes of the flooring. Belt conveyors can be of general and special purpose. Movement along the flexible flooring (belt) of the conveyor is transmitted from the drive located in the drive station and consisting of an electric motor and a gearbox. The belt is set in motion by the force of friction that occurs when the drive drum is rotated. The tension of the moving flooring is carried out by special screw or cargo devices located in the tensioning station. To avoid bending of the tape in the gap between the drive and tension drums, supporting rollers are installed under it along the entire length.
